Tennis on the Road, a programme supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland, aims to give parents, teachers, sports coaches, young leaders and volunteers the tools needed to get children active and ready to play tennis.
Many of the skills builders are based on those that Judy played with Andy and Jamie when they were young, with sessions costing little to set up and helping to develop the vital ABCs of sport. The programme is broken down into four sections; Set4Sport, Set4Tennis, Set4Competition and Set4Coaching. These sections allow for bespoke content to be delivered dependent on location, age groups and ability.
Tennis on the Road launched in October 2014 and we’re delivering roadshows every month across Scotland in 2015. The programme aims to take tennis to areas with little previous activity, to help build and nurture a skilled coaching workforce to develop tennis in Scotland.
